
How it all started
I don’t remember a time I wasn’t a baker. Even before I went to elementary school I was fascinated with the delicious treats the grownups were churning out of their kitchens. I was helping to measure ingredients and taste-testing probably before I learned to read. When I was old enough to get my hands on the mixer and oven, it was all over. I’ve been tinkering in the kitchen and churning out recipes you won’t find anywhere else for over 30 years now.
My story
I grew up in Copake and these days I live in Claverack with my husband and our two rescue dogs. When I’m not in the kitchen or spending time with the aforementioned family, you’ll probably find me running (you may have already seen me out there!). I’m also the co-owner of Elevated Gatherings, a volunteer with a few local non-profits, a freelance communications and web design consultant, and a lover of fast cars, telenovelas, and all things New York.
My approach
I bake the things I do best. Cookies, brownies, and breads are my specialties. Sure, I’ll bake you a cake if you want one, but I may also refer you to someone who does it better than me. You can be confident that when you place an order from me, you are getting sweet treats unlike any other. From my tart and tangy lime shortbreads, to my super dark, chewy and fudgy double chocolate brownies, to my cookies with chocolate covered pretzels and potato chips, and everything in between, you’ll find that my treats are as unique as I am.
And if you have a dietary restriction, you’ve come to the right place! I offer a variety of gluten-free, dairy-free, vegan, and/or nut-free goodies. I believe you shouldn’t have to settle for unappetizing food just because you have something you can’t eat. I make delicious food for everyone!
